Lighthouse in Action is reaching young people in the city of Chiang Mai, expecially students and those who are just starting out in the workplace. We have a special concern for the hurting people in society, especially prostitutes, and the gay & lesbian community. We do this by loving and reaching people through our actions – not just words or bible stories. Our heart is for the rejected and unwanted, because we want to show the heart of Christ, The Almighty, to them.
What’s up?
A few really cool things happened lately here at Lighthouse / WonGen. One friend, “P”, was excited to hear the Gospel and just came to be a follower of the Lord of Mercy! “P” is a young lady who has been a Barista at Wongen Kafe’ since we opened. After she began attending our discipleship class once a week, she found out that the Almighty who she used to pray to is Jesus. “P” told us that she is from a small village in the North East of Thailand. After finishing high school, she wanted more in life than her sister who has been working in factory in Bangkok for the last 10 years. God led her to come and work with us, she has started following Him, and she is now happier than ever!
Where we work
Lighthouse is ministering in downtown Chiang Mai, and our coffee shop – WonGen Kafé – is just across from the main gate of Chiang Mai University (CMU). Chiang Mai is the second largest city in Thailand. It is one of the few places in Thailand where it is possible to find centuries-old temples and a moat-surrounded historic city… yet with modern shops and coffee houses right in the heart of the city.
WonGen Kafé วอนเจนคาเฟ่
Wongen Kafé is our coffee shop, located directly across from CMU. The Kafé is open from 10am – 10pm Monday thru Saturday. We serve coffees, teas, smoothies, burgers and more, all in a casual, friendly environment. We also have a dormitory for university students, where we offer discipleship classes for the staff of the Kafé as well as the students who stay at the WonGen home. Vision
We want to see people come to know The Almighty who can save them from the expectation of endless karma and reincarnation. We want them find new life in Christ and look forward to eternity with Him in heaven. We want to help people who are working in the bars around Chiang Mai, so that they will find new life and new job that offers them better living.
The spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me, because the LORD has anointed me; he has sent me to bring good news to the oppressed, to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and release to the prisoners. Isaiah 61: 1

1. We need prayers, who can join the intercession team for this cutting age ministry and see the fruit that about to happen.
2. We need long-term staffs short term volunteers to go to the bars and ministered to ladies who work in the bars and help at the coffee shop.
3. We need financial support for the ministry, coffee shop and staffs. As we have few Thai staffs joining our ministry and they do not have financial support, would you consider to pray for us about this matter.
