Discipleship Training School (DTS)

Here in Chiang Mai it is our passion to see young people have a personal encounter with God that changes them forever! If you are sensing a call to the lost in Asia, what better place than Chiang Mai.

Overview

The mandate of Youth With A Mission is: To Know God and Make Him Known. This is the purpose of the Discipleship Training School (DTS). The Chiang Mai DTS has a great mix of Thai and International students that come from all over the world!

We desire to prepare our students to be messengers of the Gospel in every sphere of society. We believe in doing first then teaching. Our desire through this course is to see you develop intimacy with God. Right relationship with God affects the way we live our lives and the way we relate to those around us.

Details

The emphasis is on developing a daily walk with God rather than to accumulate information. This program consists of three months of classroom teaching and two months in active evangelism in a cross cultural setting.

Prayer and Intercession
Hearing God’s Voice
Relationships
Bible Study
Evangelism
World Missions
Identity in Christ

DTS Schedule may look something like this:

08.00 Worship
08.45 Intercession or Tracks
10.00 Lecture
12:00 Lunch
13:30 Small Groups, Outreach Meeting, or Tracks
15:00 Work Duties!
17:00 Dinner
19:00 Twice a week evening meetings, otherwise free time.

Outreach

The DTS in Chiang Mai happens once a year, with the training/lecture phase beginning in September. We then have a short mini-outreach (usually to a neighboring country, such as China or Laos) before coming back to finish the lecture phase. Following the lecture phase, we separate into teams for the main outreach phase in two or three locations within Thailand.
